You won't believe it. I was gonna post a picture of my new (and old) g1, but I have to wait till daylight. (it's 2:32 am, I"m pooped) and my lighting is not bright enough for my android camera. <br /><br />I have been playing around with<a href="http://thecrayonbox.org"> snap photo</a> available in the marketplace and I love it. I had to go thru the customer service dept, who connected me to a tech (i guess they thought they were gonna fix the keyboard lights for me over the phone?) I tried to tell the rep (a blackberry rep as she stated) that it is not fixable as of yet. Of course after getting disconnected.....I called again and the customer service person was new and had no IDEA what I was talking about. I relayed the info again...another 20 min shot, then asked for a super, who fixed e up. Why the run around? I tried to tell him I know this phone like the back of my hand after HOURS of continuous use over 10 days and that I had researched the brown/bronze keypad issue and he said it is not a "tmobile KNOWN issue." I told him I had read in many forums of folks having problems reading the brown phone. He tried to tell me his wife had the brown one and he had the black one and there was no problem. Uh, Okay, well I have a problem and fix it now. I started this blog because I was reading on of the Major techie blogs and it stated that this G1 Android is no phone for Grandma. Well, I am not grandma yet (take your time sweeties). But I have friends my age who are grannies and they are just as much as intrigued with the G1 as I am. So..Just wanted to let those NERDY GEEK writers at the big blogs to know just cause we're no young whipper snapper like your geeky selves, we are totally capable of figuring it out! In fact, I'm am an admitted wannabe nerd. I have taught myself everything I can do from the internet. I can build my own computer starting with a barebones unit. I love to take things apart and tinker (how the heck did hubby wonder how all those toys got fixed!). And, while I still need his electronic expertise now and then, I haven't burnt the house down yet or electrocuted myself [okay-just once].<br /><br />While this android is a phone it is sooooo cool. If you are a granny, and don't use the net much, but are interested int he capabilities, hang on. Maybe this site can help. I plan on posting all the scourings I have found that are HELPFUL. No globettly gook, insane difficult reading here, unless you want to. I will have a seperate category for that.<br /><br />Since this is day one, page one, only my links are available. They are helpful.
